I am passionate about dogs, and this passion is the driving force behind me helping owners and their dogs. Passion and enthusiasm for one's job creates great work ethic and outstanding success rates. I genuinely enjoy developing happy, healthy dogs.
“I have devised my own unique methods, changing a dogs thought process subconsciously, to turn any negative trigger/chemical reaction that your dog may have into a positive experience, for the rest of your dogs life. As part of my rehabilitation programme, I never use avoidance techniques and every dog is seen as an individual regardless of their breed or issues. I take a holistic approach and cover every aspect of a dogs life to be able to fully rehabilitate every dog.”
I can help you deal with a wide variety of problematic dog behaviour patterns without fear, force or bullying – These tactics have no place in my strategy and I solely use positive reinforcement with a non-physical approach.
As a qualified dog behaviourist I can help you deal with problematic dog behaviour patterns such as: biting, chewing, aggressive behaviour, jumping up, anxiety, fear & many other common pet problems.
I am a qualified canine nutritionist and can help you make the right choices.
It is vital that the professional you are working with is qualified in this field. If not, they cannot give expert advice on diet or nutrition.

Barking is used as vocal communication and it can be used as a tool for in various situations such as:
Being territorial
For protection
Boredom
Whilst playing
Attention seeking
Separation anxiety
For a greeting
Loneliness
I feel it is vital to divert unwanted behaviour in a positive way.
Certain triggers are normally the cause of this behaviour. If your dog suffers from any of the problems listed, Leon can fix these problems more quickly for you, normally in only one session! Excessive barking can be very annoying for owners but it is also very easy to solve!
Is your dog urinating and defecating in and around your home?! Scent marking?! Is it driving you to breaking point?!

It can be embarrassing for owners to admit they struggle with this and can seem like your dog will never get the hang of toilet training! But Luckily, I can come to the rescue and make toilet training enjoyable for both you and your dog! Toilet training is a very common problem and can be solved in ALL forms in JUST ONE 90 minute session, unless its due to a medical reason that is!
I hear a lot about mental health issues in people, but did you know that dogs can suffer with issues such as anxiety? Dog anxiety can affect all breeds and can become a serious problem if not dealt with correctly by their owners. Luckily, the thing with dog anxiety is that it CAN be solved! There can be a number of reasons as to why your dog can feel anxious such as being separated from you or being left alone. Leon prides himself on using a strict "hands off approach" meaning that he believes you should never use negative behaviour or touch your dog to get them to behave or change their way of thinking! By using a number of techniques including desensitisation, I can change your dogs negative behaviours and experiences and turn them into positive experiences, therefore changing your dogs response.
Some signs of anxiety to look out for include:
Trembling
Tail Tucked in
More withdrawn than normal
Hiding
Biting / Chewing
Urinating or defecating in the house
Destructive behaviour
Excessive barking, and many more
However the most dangerous symptom of anxiety is aggression and if not dealt with properly can be devastating for both the owner and the dog! With a few simple techniques and guidance from our dog magician Leon, all of these symptoms can be dealt with in a positive and enjoyable way and can be a problem of the past!
The most common cause of aggressive behaviour is fear. Fear aggression can be dangerous, if you mix that fear together with a situation where a dog has not been raised and trained with love and care and the result is often a disastrous cocktail of fear aggression. Owners and trainers who use punishment-based techniques on a dog with fear aggression is a detonator waiting to explode and 9 times out of 10 ends in disaster!!!
If a dog has not learnt socialisation skills during their early development period then they will find it hard to cope with new things that they encounter in their environment such as other dogs, animals or people. Anxiety problems can be difficult to deal with correctly but it is Leon's job to source that reason and to use special techniques to help your dog overcome all forms of fear aggression. Using POSITIVE desensitisation techniques, this will give your dog more confidence to cope with their fear.
Some dogs may show dominant behaviours even as a young puppy, and other dogs may not show signs of dominance until they reach maturity. Aggression that is due to dominance can be a very difficult trait to extinguish and requires a great deal of time and consistency to solve. Dominant aggressive dogs can be VERY dangerous particularly to small children as the nipping or snapping that is related to this condition is typically focused on the head and neck area. Dominance aggression is a serious condition that requires dedication and patience to extinguish, and in some extreme cases may require psychiatric medications to relieve. This type of aggression cannot have a magic 10 minute fix even with Leon! However he will work closely with you to devise a coping strategy plan for you, your dog and your family to create a safe environment again.
Some tell tale Warning signs that your dog is suffering from dominance dog/human aggression:

As with Anxiety problems It is my job to source that reason and to use special techniques to help your dog overcome all forms of fear aggression. Using POSITIVE desensitisation techniques will give your dog more confidence to cope with their fear.
