Leon Towers is a qualified Dog Behaviourist, Psychologist, Nutritionist and Hydro-therapist. Hailed by the media as “The Dog’s Voice”, Leon has changed the behaviour and fitness of over 15,000 dogs and improved the lives of their owners using his years of experience and array of skills, underpinned by an ethos of positive reinforcement. Warm and relatable, Leon has worked across a variety of TV programmes and has featured as the resident animal behaviourist for both hit Channel 4 shows Embarrassing Pets and My Gay Dog. He’s also presented for Channel 5’s Meet the Pawrents: Celebs and their Dogs, and has previously reported for the iconic Crufts. Brimming with expertise, Leon recently published his first book earlier this year; titled Fix Your Dog in Three Easy Steps: Be Your Own Dog Behaviourist, it’s a must have for all dog owners and is a training manual with a difference! Leon also appeared at this year's Malvern Autumn Show for their first ever 'dog day', judging the Dog Show and delivering a fireside chat on his work
Popular with like-minded brands, Leon works extensively across the commercial sector to help develop content and raise awareness of canine issues. Previous brand collaborations include EA Games, where he performed a first of its kind fitness class involving celebrities and their dogs for the official live launch of The Sims 4 - Cats & Dogs. Having consulted for Royal Mail and their staff providing advisory on dog safety at work, he became the face of their national Dog Awareness Campaign in 2020. Leon has also provided expert advice to Haven Holidays, ManyPets Insurance, Admiral Pet Insurance UK, and has previously worked with Naturo in an Ambassador capacity. Together, they created a joint counselling service for pets and owners; offering tailored tips and advice on their brand website and across social media. Leon was recently an ambassador for Wilson’s Pet Food and continues to consult for a number of household and nationally recognisable brands across ad hoc campaigns and launches.
With its ever-growing following on social media, when not running his hugely successful business The Lodge Dog Daycare alongside his partner Dean in Little Witcombe, Gloucestershire, in his spare time Leon can be found developing and crafting his own dog treats and food range to bring to the market. Working in every facet of the media, Leon has also previously appeared as an expert guest on The Jeremy Vine Show and The Storm Huntley Show, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Kent and BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
